Here’s a throwback to the first gig with The Wranglers Band! The Crosswire slot would be the first of many, with Sounds of Leeds Conservatoire and Patches @foxandnewtpub following the week later. But here’s a dedication to the gig (and the post gig antics.)

Highlights of the evening would be @slappstikk doing the can-can to Freedom in the Rain and getting everyone dancing, as well as @linushmusic destroying half of the Leeds @nq64arcadebars with an insane trick shot gone wrong (there was no footage unfortunately 😭). But all in all, it was a pretty awesome debut of the band 😎

Thank you to @sammiefayemusic for the videos, the slow-mo ones look fab! And thank you to @jazmusic91 for your recordings of our songs, I can’t wait to post them!

We hope you enjoy this very 80s tribute to the gig :) A slight change of pace from the Indian version of Rewind…

We can’t believe it’s finally here! We started working on this back in January - trudging through the snow to get a meal deal mid recording - and now Spring is here along with our shiny new debut single!

It’s an honour and a privilege to finally release music, at the start of our degrees at @leedspopular_ we thought we might’ve made it to the end of uni without releasing anything - never mind being in an incredible band. But here we are, through the darkest of storms out the other side - getting to celebrate life’s wins.

Last night we were stood at the bar @oportobarleeds as the clock ticked past midnight and watched our song go onto Spotify. That felt good. We managed to pull it off: months of planning, poster making, instagram posts, recording, mastering, tweaking, worrying, creating. We did it! And it’s only just the beginning. Thank you to everyone that’s been there along the way ❤️

You’re an incredible person and we absolutely can’t thank you enough for all you’ve done for us! @developingsoundsjason thank you for your masterful drumming and guitar work, also your input into the song was so valuable! “I’m gonna be just fine, without you on my mind”.

Rewind holds a special place in our hearts. We wrote a song we needed to hear, that you can’t change the past and it’s time to move onto bigger and better things. Sometimes the thing you had just wasn’t that great, and it takes time and distance to see that clearly. So Rewind is really a testament to moving on.

We wrote it with a clear message, that it’s all going to be okay even though life’s different - and at the time I’m not sure we fully believed ourselves. But months on, after playing this song again and again in different places and with different people - I think we finally believe it. It feels good to be out the other side, enjoying life’s little wins with the best people and singing the songs we put so much work into. We couldn’t ask for more.

It’s always hard to advertise a song, but if you give it a listen we hope you gain some inspiration and confidence in the fact that you can move on and life will get better. That’s a promise from us x

We had the incredible opportunity of performing with @lcpopchoir on @bgt! It’s crazy to see yourself on the big screen, with @leohicksmusic watching alongside @dylanpjw at Royal Park Cellars as we shredded out ‘Unwritten’. What a fever dream.

As musicians, we’ve all heard “you should go on BGT!” at some point, but it’s another thing standing on that stage and looking around - seeing the judges, looking up and seeing the X’s. It was like stepping into the TV. We gave it our all and left everything we had on that stage.

Seeing @antanddec in person was such a blur, you grow up with these faces and the next thing you know you’re high fiving your childhood stars running off stage. We live crazy lives, and we’re eternally grateful for having these amazing opportunities ❤️

I’m so proud of @craigantonylees for leading the choir with such conviction and passion, as always. It’s wonderful seeing you get the recognition you deserve, after 10 years of fighting for the choir - your love of the job is carrying you to incredible places. And we’re all here for the ride!

There’s so much to say. It’s a truly remarkable thing to be surrounded by so many passionate and enthusiastic people, the best people really. It’s the care and attention from every single person that really makes this choir the best.

I signed up in first year not really knowing what to expect, and frankly I was terrified. I’d never been in a choir before so it was a leap in at the deep end. But little did I know, that would be the single greatest decision of my life. Through choir I met my best friend @leohicksmusic, I met my greatest mentor @craigantonylees and I found what it really means to belong somewhere. I had no one in first year, and this choir has brought me all the best things in my life right now - I can never thank you all enough for that.

Also I’ve got to mention @dannymorenomusic who’s been shredding out the most legendary solos from the start of joining the choir, I hope you go on to do incredible things! @itsjonathanpatel it was wonderful having you back in the tenor section, you really were a role model to me in first year and I can’t thank you enough. @becky.bowe and @theadamtucker you guys completely nailed your songs, you made everyone’s day and really set the standard we all aspire to! @tanrooki you’ve been my tenor buddy for so long, it’s always a pleasure getting low to Unwritten with you! @samjaynesings it was amazing getting to see you on Thursday, it was a dream come true to get to perform in the same choir 10 years apart!

And finally the biggest thank you of them all to @craigantonylees @declandaviesmusic and @gregbush225 who work tirelessly to bring everything together and give you the best show. You’ve given us the best opportunities, whether rocking an iconic suit and leading up front, working behind the scenes to make everything possible or making the tastiest band arrangements - you guys are the best. This is a video I’ve been meaning to make for such a long time. We get to do some really incredible things with the @lcpopchoir, and over the last year we’ve really reached new heights. Led by @craigantonylees and with the undeniable help from @gregbush225, the pop choir got to perform our version of ‘Total Praise’ @royalalberthall as part of the @theofficialhowsweetthesound contest.

I know for all of us, this was one of the most special moments of our entire life. And it was such a privilege to get to stand amongst friends on such an iconic stage and sing our hearts out. We left everything we had on that stage.

So consider this a tribute to the wonderful pop choir of @leedsmusicdrama, the underrated gem.
